At Squat Alarm we develop Squat Alarm: Squat to Wake Up (Package: com.thaha.squatsalarm) with a strict commitment to user privacy and data security. This Privacy Policy details how our Android application operates, how device permissions are utilized, and how third-party services like Google AdMob and Google Play Billing are integrated.

1. Camera Permission & On-Device AI Vision

Squat Alarm requires access to your device's camera (android.permission.CAMERA) solely to count squats in real time during active wake-up missions.

Real-Time Volatile Processing: Video frames captured by the camera are processed instantaneously in volatile device memory (RAM) by the Google ML Kit Pose Detection library.
Zero Recording or Cloud Uploads: Camera frames are never recorded to storage, captured as photos, or sent over the internet to any external server. Once a video frame is evaluated for joint angles, it is immediately discarded.
No Biometric Identification: The pose detection model only recognizes geometric skeletal landmark coordinates (hip, knee, ankle positions) to calculate squat angles. It does not perform facial recognition or identity tracking.

2. Alarm & Foreground Service Permissions

To ensure the alarm rings reliably even when the device is locked, asleep, or in Do Not Disturb mode, the app requests the following core Android permissions:

Exact Alarm Scheduling (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM): Essential to trigger your alarm at the exact minute you specified without battery-optimization delays.
Full-Screen Intent (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): Enables the alarm mission screen to display immediately when the alarm triggers over the lock screen.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): Keeps the loud alarm audio and real-time squat mission active until you finish the required repetitions.
Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Allows the alarm mission to appear smoothly when an alarm triggers while using another application.
Vibration (VIBRATE): Activates haptic feedback and alarm vibration patterns.
Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Displays upcoming alarm alerts and status indicators on Android 13+.

3. Local Storage of User Preferences

All user preferences—including your scheduled alarm times, custom squat target repetitions, ringtone choices, vibration settings, and monthly wake-up history—are saved strictly on your local device. We do not maintain any cloud databases of your habits or personal data.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Squat Alarm displays advertisements via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to support continuous free development. AdMob may automatically collect non-personal device information, advertising IDs (such as the Google Advertising ID / AAID), IP addresses, and crash telemetry to serve relevant ads in compliance with Google Play Developer policies.

5. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

Squat Alarm offers an optional one-time In-App Purchase to remove ads. All payment processing, card information, and transaction authorizations are managed exclusively by Google Play Store. We never collect, see, or store your credit card or financial information.

Squat Alarm does not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take immediate corrective measures.
